According to legend, two Roman warriors Callimachus and Dionysius , as well as a Roman officer Bacchus, saw how an angel saved the Christian martyr Barbara . Seeing such a miracle, Callimachus, Bacchus and Dionysius, believed in Jesus Christ , began to preach Christianity and scold the Roman gods. For this, at the behest of Emperor Julian, the heads of the new preachers were cut off.
