Professional career
He was selected under the general 30th number in the 1992 NBA draft by the Dallas Mavericks team [1] . In his first season, he mainly played in the starting lineup of the Mavericks, and he also basically played in the 1993/1994 season for Minnesota Timberwolves . In the NBA, he also played for clubs such as the Atlanta Hawks , Los Angeles Lakers , Los Angeles Clippers , New Orleans Hornets and Orlando Magic . A total of 12 seasons in the NBA.
Coaching career
After Rooks completed his player career, he became an assistant coach for the D-League Club Bakersfield Jam , then was an assistant at the New Mexico Thunderbirds and Sioux Falls Skyfors . From 2014 until the day of his death, Ruks worked as an assistant to the head coach of the Philadelphia Seventi Sixers club, his duties included personal work with the club’s centers [2] .
Death
Sean Rooks died on June 7, 2016 in Philadelphia from a heart attack [3] .
