Career
Kevin Tiyi was born in 1990 in a family of volleyball players. His father Laurent is a French volleyball player, a player of the national team, and his mother Caroline Köhlen was the captain of the Netherlands women's team . Unlike the brothers Kim and Killian , who became basketball players, Kevin followed in the footsteps of his parents and became a gamer, like his father.
He began his career in university teams in the USA and Canada, and in 2013 he moved to Italy, where he signed a contract with Ravenna . In 2015, as part of the Turkish Arkasspor, he won gold medals in the national championship , and a year later became the champion of Poland with the ZAKSA club, after which he extended the contract with him for another year.
Having played in various youth teams of France as part of the main team, Tiyyu made his debut in 2012, after the appointment of his father as head coach of the team. Later, Kevin, together with Erwin Ngapet, composed the main pair of national team players and helped the French win the World League and European Championship in 2015, and the next year to qualify for the Olympics .
