Career

He began to play in the youth team "Energy" from the city of Togliatti . In 1968-1969 he played in the Second League for the Togliatti “Chemist” . In 1969 he made his debut in the Premier League as part of the Kuibyshev “Wings of the Soviets” . In 1971-1972, together with a large group of Kuibyshev football players ( Voronin , Kovalev , Korablev , Kotlyarov , Mineev , Petrov , Starkov , Timofeev , Yutkin ) he served in the Khabarovsk SKA . In 1972 he got into the double of CSKA. After demobilization, he returned to Kuibyshev, played in the “Wings of the Soviets” until 1977. Later he played in Perm Zvezda (1977) and Ufa SK named after Gastello (1978). In 1979 he moved to Surgut , where his former teammates Yuri Kotlyarov and Yuri Starkov had been playing for several years. For the local "Oilman" Starukhin played in regional and industry tournaments until 1982.
