Biography
Born February 2, 1917. Until 1917, the Budzinsky family lived in the Don Army Region (Rostov Region). One of Andrei’s relatives is Vladimir Budzinsky . After the revolution of 1917, the relatives of Andrei Budzinsky were repressed, and the family was exiled to the Urals. At the age of 14, Andrei Budzinsky remained an orphan. In 1932, Andrei moved to Moscow. A close relative in Moscow is the actress of the Chamber Theater Augusta Miklashevskaya [1] .
In 1935, he began to study in the freestyle wrestling section (the future of sambo), which was organized in 1934 by Vasily Oshchepkov [2] . In 1935, Oshchepkov handed over the leadership of the section to his graduate student in the department of wrestling at the SCOLIFK Anatoly Kharlampiev.
Andrei Budzinsky took part in the 1937 Moscow-Leningrad match meeting on “judo freestyle wrestling”. In addition to him, the Moscow team was represented by future participants of the first USSR freestyle wrestling (sambo) championship of 1939 N. Sazonov, Boris Vasyukov , V. Shinin, Valentin Sidorov, Nikolai Gladkov, Anatoly Kharlampiev .

Member of World War II , served in the air defense forces. He was awarded the Order of the Patriotic War II degree (04/06/1985) [3] , the medal " For the Defense of Moscow " (09/18/1944) [4] .
In the 1960s, he led the sambo section at MATI [5] . In the 1960s and 70s he led the sambo section at MIPT.
The last years of his life he worked as chairman of the Council of Sambo Veterans.
He was buried at the Kotlyakovsky cemetery in Moscow.
