The bell tower in the Near Caves is an 18th-century bell tower located in the Near Caves in the Kiev Pechersk Lavra . Built on a wooden site in 1763 under the leadership of Stepan Kovnir . The author of the project is unknown.

Architecture

The bell tower has two tiers, square in plan, with a large almost spherical head and a two-tier dome. The height of the structure is 27.3 meters.

On the first tier there is an arched passage, to which from the north and south comes a wooden gallery leading to the nearby caves. The walls of the first tier of the bell tower are covered with rust. On the second tier, on each side, arched openings are made - for hanging bells, near which Corinthian columns are placed, five on each side.
