Biography
Alexander Naryshkin was born in 1735 into a noble family of room attendant Ivan Ivanovich Naryshkin and his wife Anastasia Alexandrovna (nee Miloslavskaya) [1] .
At the age of thirteen, he was appointed a page , and in 1751 he was promoted to cell-page . On May 30, 1755, Alexander Ivanovich Naryshkin was released as lieutenant to the horse guard, in 1758 he was granted chamber junkers, and soon after that he received a chamberlain and was appointed to be under the Russian Emperor Peter III [1] .
On May 15, 1759, he married Princess Anna Nikitichna Trubetskoy, daughter of Field Marshal Nikita Yuryevich Trubetskoy , and this wedding was solemnly celebrated in the palace, in the presence of the Empress herself [1] .
During the reign of Catherine II, his activity at the court was marked by the Order of St. Anne .
Alexander Ivanovich Naryshkin died on November 24, 1782 in the city of Moscow with the rank of Privy Councilor and was buried in the old Lazarevsky cemetery [1] .
His son Ivan also became a valid Privy Councilor and was elected senator. Great-grandson, Prince Leonid Dmitrievich Urusov , is known for his friendly relations with Leo Tolstoy .
