Biography

Born in 1922 in La Gran Combes . In 1948, he won the gold medal of the Olympic Games in London as part of a team. In 1949 he won the silver medal of the World Cup. At the 1950 World Cup, he won silver and bronze medals. In 1951 he became the world champion. In 1952, at the Olympic Games in Helsinki, he won the gold medal in the team, and in the personal championship was 4th. In 1953 he again became the world champion. At the 1955 World Cup, he won the bronze medal. In 1956, at the Olympic Games in Melbourne, he won the silver medal as part of the team.
