Sadovnichenko, Dmitry Gavrilovich

Dmitry Gavrilovich Sadovnichenko (October 13 (26), 1907 , Pavlograd - February 16, 1955 , Khmelnitsky ) - Soviet political figure. The first secretary of the Dnepropetrovsk (underground) regional committee of the Communist Party (b) of Ukraine (1942-1943).

Biography

Born in a working class family. In 1929-1932 he served in the Navy, where in 1931 he joined the CPSU (b) . After demobilization, since 1933 he worked as a secretary of the factory committee of the Komsomol of Ukraine in the Dnipropetrovsk region .

In 1934-1935 - Deputy Chairman of the Pavlograd District Council of the Society for the Promotion of Defense, Aircraft and Chemical Construction .

In 1935 he was appointed first secretary of the Pavlograd district committee of the Komsomol of Ukraine.

Since 1939 - at party work in the Dnipropetrovsk region. He was an instructor, head of the Organizational and Instructor Department of the Pavlograd District Committee of the Communist Party of Ukraine (b).

In 1940 - second secretary of the Pavlograd district committee of the Communist Party (b) of Ukraine ( Dnepropetrovsk region ). Then, for some time he worked as the first secretary of the Liman district committee of the Communist Party (b) of Ukraine in the Izmail region . At this post he found war.

When the Great Patriotic War began, Sadovnichenko in August 1941 was appointed second secretary of the Dnepropetrovsk underground regional committee of the Communist Party (b) of Ukraine. In the fall of 1942, after the arrest of the first secretary of the Dnepropetrovsk underground party committee, N. I. Stashkov , he was approved in his place. Under the leadership of Sadovnichenko, preparations were made for an armed uprising in February 1943 against the German-Italian invaders.

After the armed uprising, he was recalled to the Central Committee of the Communist Party (b) of Ukraine and sent to party work in the Kamenetz-Podolsk region of the Ukrainian SSR.

In 1943-1948 - an employee of the apparatus of the Central Committee of the Communist Party (b) of Ukraine.

In 1950 - December 1953 - Secretary of the Kamenetz-Podolsk Regional Committee of the Communist Party (b) -KP of Ukraine. Then, until death, the second secretary of Kamenetz-Podolsky — Khmelnytsky Regional Committee of the Communist Party of Ukraine.

He died in Khmelnitsky on February 16, 1955.
