The village is located on the top of a low hill “Givat Alil”. From almost all sides, the hill goes around the channel of the never- ending Zipori stream , forming a loop.
In 1925, this hill was acquired by the Lebanese Sursuk family, the village was founded in 1927. Presumably, the village was founded by immigrants from the neighboring villages of El Majdal and Kafrat (today Kfar Ata).
The population of the village is Muslim.
There is a school in Ras Ali where, in addition to local residents, children from the village of Havaalid also study (where there is no school). The school covers the program from pre-school education to the 8th grade.
