From 1950 until the end of his career, he was a member of the ensemble of the Stuttgart State Opera. There, in 1951, he participated in the German premiere of Stravinsky 's opera The Adventures of a Rake . From 1956 he was also a member of the ensemble of the Vienna State Opera. Repeatedly toured the Paris Grand Opera (1953–67) and the Covent Garden Theater in London. In 1958, participated in the Edinburgh Festival . Thanks to the drama of the performance, Naidling was a great success as a Wagner singer. He was particularly famous for such “sinister” parties as Alberich in the Ring of the Nibelung , Klingsor in Parsifal , Pizarro in the Fidelio , but he was unexpectedly good in comic roles as well. He performed in oratorios.
