Denis Vladimirovich Bakhtov (born December 7, 1979 , Karaganda , Kazakh SSR , USSR ) is a Russian professional boxer , jornimen , performing in the heavyweight category. Among the professionals are the former Asian champion in versions of WBC Asian (2008), WBO Asia Pacific (2007), PABA (2008, 2009—2010), interim champion of PABA (2006-2007) and champion of Latvia (2012) in heavyweight.

Professional career
He began his professional career as a boxer on September 29, 1999, defeating compatriot Vladislav Belonogov (0-1) by knockout in the 1st round.
In the course of his professional career, Bakhtov met in battle with many famous rivals, among whom he defeated Briton Danny Williams (44-13) and German Konstantin Irikh (21-8-2) . And he lost in the confrontations with such stars as the current world champion in two versions, Briton Anthony Joshua (8-0) , as well as German Manuel Charr (24-1) , Pole Andrzej Vavzhik (25-0) , Russian Alexander Ustinov (24- 0) and Ukrainian Vyacheslav Glazkov (8-0) [1] .
On September 30, 2017, Bakhtov decided to resume his professional career and returned to the ring after more than a two-year break, losing the fight in Troitsk (Moscow) by a unanimous decision of the judges (score: 54-60, 54-60, 54-60) to the young Belarusian boxer Viktor Chvarkov ( 1-2) [2] .
