The death of Anna Wood was widely publicized in the Australian media and led to discussions about the use of drugs by adolescents and the tightening of rules for organizing dance clubs and parties [1] [2] .
Implications
The campaign in Australia after the death of Anna Wood (several dozen publications in the country's largest media) focused on criticism of the rave movement and dance clubs, which the press presented as breeding grounds for drug addiction and crime. One of the opponents of the campaign, the organizer of dance parties Tony Papworth (covertly Tony Papworth ) spoke about it with bite : “What people don’t understand is that closing dance parties will not solve the problem of drugs - six teenagers have died from alcohol ”(“ Weekend ” ). The result of the campaign was the adoption of new, more stringent rules for the organization of dance clubs [1] [2] .
