Nikolay Afanasevich Korzh (born 1921 , the village of Paryshkov, Kiev province , now Baryshevsky district of the Kiev region - †?) - Ukrainian Soviet and party leader, deputy of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR of the 7-8th convocations. A candidate member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Ukraine in 1971 - 1976. Member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Ukraine in 1976 - 1986. Member of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR of the 9-10th convocations.

Biography
Born into a peasant family. He graduated from the Paryshkovsky rural school.
In 1939 - 1946 he served in the Red Army: head of a radio station, commander of a radio platoon of the 104th separate communications company of the 264th assault aviation division. Member of World War II, fought on the Northwest, Kalinin, Voronezh, 1st Ukrainian and 2nd Ukrainian fronts.
In 1943 he became a member of the CPSU (b).
In 1946 - 1947, he studied at Kiev State University.
In 1947 - 1949 - 1st Secretary of the Baryshevsky District Committee of the Komsomol of Ukraine. In 1949 - 1950 - Secretary of the district committee of the Communist Party (b) of the Kiev region.
In 1950 - 1952, he studied at the Dnepropetrovsk biennial party school.
In 1952 - 1953 - 2nd Secretary of the Zhashkovsky District Committee of the Communist Party of Kyiv.
In 1953 - 1958 - Chairman of the Executive Committee of the Zhashkovsky District Council of Workers' Deputies; 1st Secretary of the Zhashkovsky District Committee of the Communist Party of the Cherkasy region.
In 1958 - 1961, he studied at the Higher Party School under the Central Committee of the CPSU.
In 1961 - 1962, he was the head of the Cherkasy regional department for the procurement of agricultural products. In April 1962 - February 1963 - 1st Deputy Head of the Cherkasy Regional Department of Production and Procurement of Agricultural Products.
In February 1963 - December 1964 - Deputy Chairman of the Executive Committee of the Cherkasy Rural Regional Council of Workers' Deputies.
In December 1964 - April 1967 - 1st Deputy Chairman of the Executive Committee of the Cherkasy Regional Council of Workers' Deputies.
In April 1967 - September 1973 - Chairman of the Executive Committee of the Cherkasy Regional Council of Workers' Deputies.
August 15, 1973 - April 5, 1979 - 1st Secretary of the Volyn Regional Committee of the Communist Party of Ukraine.
March 26, 1979 - October 4, 1983 - Minister of State Farms of the Ukrainian SSR.
Since October 1983 - retired.
