Zinovy Stepanovich Kovalchuk ( born March 14, 1936 , the village of Starovoitovo of the Volyn Voivodeship, Poland , now the Luboml region of the Volyn Region ) - Ukrainian Soviet and Communist Party leader, deputy of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR of the 11th convocation. Biography
In 1956, a mechanic, mechanic at a machine and tractor station in the Volyn region. In 1956-1958, he served in the Soviet Army.
Since 1958 - at the Komsomol work.
Since 1959 he became a member of the CPSU .
He graduated from the Lviv Agricultural Institute .
In 1965-1973 - Secretary of the district committee of the Communist Party of the Volyn Region; 1st Secretary of the Volyn Regional Committee of the Komsomol; Deputy Head of the Department of the Volyn Regional Committee of the Communist Party of Ukraine.
In 1973-1974 - Chairman of the Executive Committee of the Lutsk District Council of Workers' Deputies of the Volyn Region.
In 1974-1979, he was the 1st Secretary of the Lutsk District Committee of the Communist Party of the Volyn Region.
From April 5, 1979 to January 4, 1984 - Secretary of the Volyn Regional Committee of the Communist Party of Ukraine.
From January 4, 1984 to July 4, 1987 - the 1st Secretary of the Volyn Regional Committee of the Communist Party of Ukraine.
Then - retired in the city of Lutsk.
