Biography
Born in Nantes , France . His father was an engineer. He was educated at the National Institute of Oriental Languages and Civilizations and at the Institute for Political Studies .
As a senior French official and diplomat, Serge Thael served as consul and ambassador of France to Monaco from 2006 to 2016. He was appointed Minister of State of Monaco on February 1, 2016, replacing Michel Roger .
