Biography
Born on October 9, 1938 in Volgograd in the family of Zelman Abramovich Gamma and Rebekah Izrailevna Bukhbinder.
In 1961 he graduated from the Novosibirsk Electrotechnical Institute .
After working for some time at the Transport and Energy Institute, he went to work at the Siberian Energy Institute.
Now he is the head of the laboratory of the institute, and also teaches at ISTU .
Since 1970, he has been developing statistical methods for assessing the state of EPS. On his account the theory of observability of EPS, and on its basis the methods of synthesis of data acquisition systems for ASDU. These works are recognized as pioneers in Russia and world practice.
Member of the special council for the defense of doctoral dissertations at the Institute of Energy Systems.
The author of more than 160 printed works, as well as 16 monographs.
Rewards
- Prize named after G. M. Krzhizhanovsky (1966, together with L. A. Krumm , I. A. Sher ) - for a series of works in the field of theory and methods of process control in combined electric power systems under normal working conditions
- USSR State Prize (1986, as part of a group of scientists) - for the development of the theory and methods of controlling the regimes of systems and their application in the automated control system of the UES of the USSR
- Honored Scientist of the Russian Federation (1998)
