Red Bull RB12 (full Red Bull Racing-TAG Heuer RB12 ) is a racing car developed by Red Bull Racing specifically for participation in the 2016 Formula One season . The drivers of the team Daniel Kvyat and Daniel Riccardo became pilots, but after the Russian grand prix, the management sent Quyat to the Toro Rosso team, and Max Verstappen was transferred from there to the Toro Rosso [1] .

Characteristics
The RB12 is the successor to the RB11 and the evolution of the previous model. Like the RB11, the RB12 also passed the necessary crash tests shortly before the start of the first tests, even before the start of the season [2] .
The RB12 is fitted with a 1.6-liter 6-cylinder engine from Renault with a turbocharger , which for marketing reasons was released under the brand name of the watch company TAG Heuer [3] .
Appearance
February 17 in London was presented coloring RB12. New car livery was significantly different from the colorings of the predecessor cars. The main color of the car changed from blue and purple to matte black and amber. The upper air intake still adorns the stylized drawing of a red bull, the symbol of Red Bull GmbH . The very inscription “Red Bull” was transferred to the side pontoons of the car and the rear wing (on the RB11 in these places was located the Infiniti logo), the Puma logo appeared on the side spars. Also, the front and rear wing on the sides have the inscription Total on a red background. In addition, the logos of the sponsors Aston Martin , AT & T , EXNESS , Hisense , Rauch , Siemens and TAG Heuer are printed on the car.
The team leader Christian Horner has commented on the appearance of the car as follows:
| Our approach to painting cars has changed over the years. Now we have decided to start everything from a clean slate and try to implement more fresh ideas in order to make the RB12 look more aggressive. Drivers of other teams will immediately recognize our car in the rear-view mirrors. The car looks new, it looks right, and what looks right will work correctly [4] |
Season 2016
Championship start
In the first race weekend of the season at the Australian Grand Prix, Quat and Riccardo performed well on a new car in all three sessions of the free races. In qualifying, Quat showed only the eighteenth time due to mechanical problems with the car, and Riccardo qualified as the eighth. At the very beginning of the race in Albert-Park , Kvyat's car had electrical problems, because of which the Russian could not start, while Riccardo set the fastest lap and finished fourth during the race.
