He graduated from the Moscow Institute of Non-Ferrous Metals and Gold (1957). In 1980-1983, a researcher, graduate student, head of department of the Institute of Economics. In 1983-1994, the chairman of the Council for the Study of Productive Forces under the Academy of Sciences of Kazakhstan . Since 1996, Director of the Institute of Financial and Banking Management of Kazakhstan. Baimuratov took part in the programs of scientific forecasting of the socio-economic development of Kazakhstan, the integrated development of Almaty , the Balkash, Aral and Caspian regions. Prize winner C. Valikhanova (1980).
