Lord Kenyon , Baron of Gredington in Flintshire County, is an ancestral title in the UK Peership system . It was created on June 9, 1788 for a British lawyer and judge, Sir Lloyd Kenyon, 1st Baronet (1732-1804). He served in the House of Commons from Hindon (1780–1784) and Tregoni (1784–1788), served as Chief Justiciary Chester (1780–1784), Attorney General of England and Wales (1782–1783, 1783–1784), and head of the court archives ( 1784–1788), Lord Chief Justice of England and Wales (1788–1802), and also served as Lord Lieutenant of Flintshire (1796–1798). On July 28, 1784, the title of Baronet from Gredington in Flintshire County was already created for Lloyd Kenyon. His grandson, George Kenyon, 3rd Baron Kenyon (1805–1869), briefly represented St. Michaels in Parliament (1830–1832). His grandson, Lloyd Kenyon, 4th Baron Kenyon (1864-1927), served as Lord Waiting for the governments of Lord Salisbury and Arthur Balfour (1900-1905), and also served as Lord Lieutenant Denbyshire (1918-1927). In 1912, Lord Kenyon received royal permission for the additional surname “Tyrell”. As of 2010, the title holder was his grandson, Lloyd-Tyrell-Kenyon, 6th Baron Kenyon (born 1947), who became his father’s successor in 1993 .
