Content

Range

New Guinea [1] [2] .

Description

The length of the narrow body is about 1 cm (from 9.1 to 10.8 mm), the largest width of the shoulder tubercles from 2.2 to 2.8 mm. The color is yellow, the abdomen and legs are brown. Antennae 11-segmented, long, exceed half the length of the elytra. The mandibular palps are 4-segmented, the labium consists of 2 segments. The pronotum is trapezoid. Elytra 3-4 times as long as wide. The body is dorso-ventrally flattened; pronotum with sharply protruding posterior angles and tubercle in the posterior third of the pronotal margin; have nine wrinkles-ribs on the shoulder of the elytra (4 large primary and 5 weak secondary ribs); two diverging keels on pronotum [1] [2] .

Systematics

The species Eniclases luteolus was first described in 1878 by the English entomologist Charles Owen Waterhouse ( Charles Owen Waterhouse , 1843-1917). Valid status was confirmed during an audit conducted in 2016 by Czech entomologists Matej Bocek and Ladislav Bocak ( Ladislav Bocak ; University of Palacky , Olomouc , Czech Republic ) [1] [2] . It is included in the treasure of Metriorrhynchina from the subfamily Metriorrhynchinae (Bocak 2002, Sklenarova et al. 2014) [3] [4] .
