Geography
The village is located on the river Smychok (Shlychka) next to the A144 highway.

History
It was founded at the beginning of the XIX century as the owner’s village of Senator Major General A. B. Kazakov [2] , having received its original name by the name of the owner - Kazakovka. After the death of A. B. Kazakov, the estate in the village was transferred to his daughter Maria Alexandrovna [3] , in the marriage of Zvegintsova (1847-1908). In 1849, a stone Intercession church was built in the village (not preserved).
In 1859, 281 people lived here, there were 42 courtyards, horse and brick factories operated. In 1900, there were 63 courtyards in the village , in which 332 people lived , there was also a public building, a zemstvo school, and four windmills.
In 1977, the Institute “TsChOGiproselkhozstroy” completed a project for the planning and development of the village, on the basis of which the development of the eastern part was carried out.
The village runs the Aleksandrovskaya secondary school. [four]
