Biography
Born in the family of Mikhail Grodzinsky - Dean of the Agrochemical Department of the Belotserkov Agricultural Institute . Brother - a biophysicist and plant physiologist D. M. Grodzinsky .
In 1949 he entered the Belotserkovsky Agricultural Institute, which he graduated in 1954. In 1957 he joined the Institute of Botany and worked there until 1965. From 1965 to 1974 he headed the department and headed the Central Republican Botanical Garden , from 1974 to 1988 he served as academician-secretary of the Department of General Biology of the Academy of Sciences of the Ukrainian SSR .
He died suddenly on December 17, 1988 in Kiev, and was buried in the Baykovsky cemetery .
Scientific work
The main scientific works are devoted to the study of biogeocenoses .
- He was engaged in theoretical and practical issues of plant introduction during the scientific and technological revolution .
- He substantiated a new direction of phytodesign .
- He developed a classification and diagnostics of soil fatigue and ways to overcome it.

- 1979–88 - Academician of the Academy of Sciences of the Ukrainian SSR and Member of the South American Research Society.
