History
BEREZOVIK - (Kayvakská patrol barracks number 36) forest gatehouse of the Ministry of State Property, yards - 1, residential buildings - 1, number of inhabitants: 3 m. P., 4 railroads Clause (1910) [2]
The guardhouse was administratively related to the Novinskaya volost of the 1st district of the 1st camp of the Tikhvin district of the Novgorod province .

According to the map of the Petrograd and Novgorod gubernias of 1913, the Woodward House was located on the site of the modern village of Berezovik [3] .
The settlement of Berezovik is taken into account by regional administrative data from January 1, 1927 in the Shomushsky village council of the Tikhvin region.
In 1961, the population of Berezovik was 857 people.
Since 1965, as part of the Lazarevic village council of the Tikhvin region [4] .
According to the data of 1966, 1973 and 1990, the village of Berezovik was also a part of the Lazarevichsky village council of the Tikhvin region [5] [6] [7] .
In 1997, 644 people lived in the village of Berezovik of the Lazarevic volost, in 2002 - 641 (Russian - 82%), the settlement was the administrative center of the volost [8] [9] .
In 2007, 664 people lived in the village of Berezovik of the Tikhvin State Enterprise , in 2010 - 381, in 2012 - 694 people [10] [11] [12] .
Geography
The village is located in the southwestern part of the district on the federal highway A114 .
The distance to the administrative center of the settlement is 7 km [11] .
The distance to the nearest railway station Tikhvin is 6 km [5] .
Near the village flows Pashin stream.

Historical Monuments
In the village remains the mass grave of Soviet soldiers. Among the other warriors are here buried the Hero of the Soviet Union A. G. Yastrebov (1905-1941) [15] .
