Pavlogradugol

PJSC DTEK Pavlogradugol ( Ukrainian PRAT DTEK Pavlogradvugillya ) is the largest coal-mining enterprise in Ukraine , engaged in development in the Western Donbas ( Dnipropetrovsk region ). The company includes 10 mines, 23 structural divisions, 57 social facilities. The staff of the company has more than 26 thousand people.

Production Activity

The company produces coal grades G, DG for energy and metallurgy. In 2011 , Pavlogradugol mines produced over 15.4 million tons of coal (18.8% of production in Ukraine), industrial reserves amount to 649.7 million tons (as of December 31, 2011). The cost of a ton of raw coal mined in 2011 at the mines of the association amounted to 324 hryvnias, which made it possible to enter the top three mines in Ukraine with the lowest cost.

Financial performance: in 2011 - a net loss of 891.988 million hryvnia, for 9 months of 2012 - a net profit of 251.245 million hryvnia.

The number of employees - 26 206 people (as of January 1, 2012) [1]

Currently, the company is in the process of introducing progressive mining equipment and updating the existing one. In particular, since 2009 to sh. "Steppe" works plow installation. Actual investments in Private Joint-Stock Company DTEK Pavlogradugol in 2011 amounted to $ 185 million.

In accordance with the principles of vertical integration, coal of JSC DTEK Pavlogradugol is mainly supplied to DTEK’s own power plants . In addition, the company's products are sent to the coke-chemical enterprises of Ukraine, export, own needs and social programs (including heating of cities and towns).

Privatization of the Pavlogradugol Holding Company and participation in the privatization of PJSC Dneproenergo

In the summer of 2004 , the privatization of Pavlogradugol Mining and Chemical Combine ended with the sale of 92.11% of the shares of Avdeevsky Coke Chemical Plant OJSC, which is controlled by System Capital Management . In March 2007 , System Capital Management affiliates bought another 7.82% of Pavlogradugol shares. Currently, Pavlogradugol is included in the coal-mining unit of DTEK , an energy holding company, System Capital Management .

In 2007, PJSC DTEK Pavlogradugol together with PJSC DTEK Mine Komsomolets Donbassa became the founders of Investment Company LLC, which undertook to repay debts (about $ 200 million) and invest (about $ 200 million) to modernize the power generating industry. PJSC DTEK Dniproenergo companies in exchange for the right to repurchase the additional issue of the generation company. As a result, in September 2007, structures affiliated with DTEK LLC concentrated about 44.3% of PJSC DTEK Dniproenergo shares.

Museum of History and Labor Glory of DTEK Pavlogradugol PrJSC

On the eve of the Miner's Day, on August 26, 2011, the Museum of History and Labor Glory of DTEK Pavlogradugol was opened in Pavlograd. The author of the project is a graphic designer Yuri Mucha (Racurs company, Pavlograd). The inspirer and organizer of the creation of the museum is Victor Pilguy, chief specialist of the corporate culture department of PJSC DTEK Pavlogradugol. In the new museum of each of the ten mines of Western Donbass, equal exposition areas are allocated. In order to accommodate the entire amount of information collected, special transforming stands are provided, which allowed to increase the exposition area five times. Stands mines are equipped with built-in showcases and monitors. Above each exposure there are wide-format photographs of the surface of the mines.
