Saint Caloger was supposedly an officer in the Roman army during the time of Emperor Hadrian , who served in Brescia, Lombardy . His life is considered related to the life of St. Faustina and Jovites , also, according to legend, who served as soldiers in Brescia [1] . According to legend, the saints were tried in the bathhouses of Milan, known as Terme d'Ercole. None of the saints renounced the faith, and they were sentenced to participate in races, with each of the saints being attached to their wagon. To everyone's surprise, all three survived. In this case, St. Kalotser went to preach in the town of Albenga , where he was tormented [1] .
Honor
Local veneration of St. Kalocera is limited to the diocese of Brescia, Milan , Asti , Ivrea and Tortona [1] . , built in the 4th and 5th centuries, was dedicated to St. Kalotseru [1] . The alleged tomb of St. Kalocera is preserved in the city museum of Albenga, while an urn with relics of the remains of the saint is in the city cathedral of St. Michael [1] .
At the site of the collapsed pagan temple, a source bearing the name of St. Kalocera. Nearby was erected a temple in honor of the Blessed Virgin Mary, and later - St. Vincent. A convent was formed near the temple. The nearby chapel of St. Kalocera was irreparably destroyed by bombing during the war and demolished. In Albeng, the remains of the monastery complex of St. Kalocera, now abandoned and referred to as the archaeological area.
There is another legend, according to which the relics of the saint were transferred in the IX century in Chivat .
