Biography
He was born on April 11, 1927 in Nikolaev . He was educated first at the Chelyabinsk College of Railway Transport, and then at the All-Union Correspondence Institute of Railway Engineers. Member of the CPSU (b) since 1949 . During 1962 - 1963 he studied at the graduate school of the Institute of Cybernetics of the Academy of Sciences of the Ukrainian SSR . For more than 30 years he was the head of the department of this institute. From 1997 , he headed the department of the International Scientific and Educational Center for Information Technologies and Systems of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine and the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine.
For about 30 years he was deputy chairman of the scientific councils for the defense of doctoral dissertations in economic sciences at the Institute of Cybernetics named after. M. Glushkova of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine and the chairman of the dissertation council for the defense of the degree of candidate of economic sciences at the International Scientific and Training Center for Information Technologies and Systems of the National Academy of Sciences and the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine and a member of the dissertation council for the award of the degree of candidate of sciences at Kiev University of Economics and Transport Technologies.
He died on November 28, 2009 . He was buried in Kiev at the Baykovsky cemetery (plot number 33).
Scientific activity
The main areas of scientific activity are the development of methodological foundations and the creation of economic and mathematical models for the development and functioning of complex systems of various levels of hierarchy and purpose; determination of methodological approaches to modeling the economy of Ukraine, taking into account factors contributing to economic growth; creation of information technologies for assessing structural changes in various sectors of the economy.
The author of more than 250 scientific papers, including 23 monographs , including:
- "Microeconomic modeling and information technology";
- “International transport corridors of Ukraine: networks and modeling”;
- "Macroeconometric modeling of economic development of Ukraine";
- “Theoretical foundations of logistics”;
- "Economic-mathematical models of economic growth," co-authored.
He prepared 22 doctors and 90 candidates of sciences.
He was a member of the editorial boards of such scientific journals as Economics and Forecasting , Industry Economics, Regional Economics, Control Machines and Systems, Railway Transport, Shipping, Economic Cybernetics.
Under the direction of Alexander Alexandrovich, coordination work was carried out to introduce economic and mathematical methods, models and information technologies into the development and functioning of individual components of the Ukrainian economy, which resulted in the preparation, editing and publication of collections of scientific papers "Economic and mathematical modeling of socio-economic systems" and " Automated control systems and new information technologies. ”
Rewards
He was awarded the Order of the Red Banner of Labor , an honorary diploma of the Presidium of the Verkhovna Rada of the Ukrainian SSR. Honored Worker of Science and Technology of Ukraine .
Laureate of the State Prize of the Ukrainian SSR, the State Prize of Ukraine in the field of science and technology , the State Prize of the USSR , Prize of the Council of Ministers of the USSR, Prize named after A. G. Schlichter of the Agrarian Academy of Sciences of the USSR, Prize named after. M. Mikhalevich.
