One of the last authors of the Ancient Attic Comedy , also occupying a transitional position between the Ancient and Middle Comedies [2] .
He won four times at Leney [3] ; possibly won in Dionysius , after 402 BC Oe., when the winner was Kefisodor [2] . The court lists the names of several comedies of Polizela: “Wash basin” (τπτρα), Р, ί,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, Р Р Р Р Р Р Р Р Р Р Р Р Р Р Р Р Р Р Р Р Р Р Р Р Р Р Р Р Р Р Р Р Р Р Р Р Р Р Р Р Р Р Р Р Р Р Р Р Р to which Empress Evdokia adds the “Birth of Ares” (Άρεως γοναί) [2] [4] . The fragments were published by Augustus Meinecke in 1839–1840 ( Fragmenta comicorum graecorum . I, pp. 260–261, II, pp. 867–872).
In the Demo-Tindarea, the myth of the resurrection of the Spartan king probably parodied, and according to the scholies to Lucian , there appeared the leader of the Athenian democrats Hyperbol . Presumably, this comedy was set about 402 BC. e., after the overthrow of the tyranny of thirty [5] .
