Description
Tatra 75 is a highly-controlled car with a front-mounted engine and rear-wheel drive. The basis is a four-cylinder air-cooled Tatra 75 engine with a volume of 1688 cm³ (1.7 l) and a power of 30 hp. For the manufacture of the body, engine and frame used light metals. There was a four-speed gearbox, a hydraulic brake system and a V-shaped radiator (the last two elements were new). The maximum speed of the car is 100 km / h with a mass of 1200 kg. The wheels were made in the form of disks, the chassis had a front axle with two transverse leaf springs and an unfastened articulated suspension of the rear axle with a transverse leaf spring.
Roadsters with 4 and 6 places were produced (for the latter, the wheelbase was lengthened). For 9 years, 4,501 copies were produced. In 1947, the Tatra 75 was replaced by the new Tatra 600 .
