Biography
In 1933–34 he worked in the Secretariat of the Village Council, a member of the Komsomol detachment, created to protect the state border.
He was unreasonably arrested. On October 29, 1933 , by an absentee decree of the three OGPUs, he was sentenced to 3 years in prison, arrived in the settlement. In 1966, rehabilitated by the Supreme Court of the Kazakh SSR.
He worked on various collective farms after returning from prison, and headed the shepherd on the collective farm of the Rayymbek district in 1944-52.
In 1953 he was elected chairman of the collective farm, worked in this position until 1985 .
During the presidency of Ashimbaev, the village of Sarybastau became the center of economic prosperity in the region.
Two schools appeared in the village, a palace of culture, a brick factory, a stadium, a cattle feeding complex for 30,000 heads, a machine and tractor station, an incubator, and a lime kiln were put into operation. All this was realized at the expense of the funds earned by the collective farm.
On February 19, 1981, he was awarded the title of Hero of Socialist Labor “for outstanding success achieved in fulfilling plans and socialist commitments to sell a billion poods of grain to the state in 1980 and overfulfill plans for the tenth five-year plan for the production and purchase of bread and other agricultural products” [1] .
