Distribution

An invasive species imported from East Asia ( China , Korea , Japan ) and the Russian Far East to North America ( USA ) and the European part of Russia [2] [3] [1] .

Description

The length of the narrow body of adult insects (adults) is about 1 cm (width 3 mm). The body on the dorsal side is dark green, with a bronze tint. The eggs are oval, 1 × 0.6 mm. The larvae are up to 3 cm long. They develop on ash trees, as well as on some types of elms and nuts [4] . The first copies of the bug were found by the famous naturalist and missionary Arman David during his trip to China in the 1860-1870s and sent to Paris for research. The species was first scientifically described in 1888 by the French entomologist Leon Firemeier (1820-1906) [2] [3]
