Biography

Born in the family of a small merchant. He graduated from a village school, a gymnasium in Rybinsk , in 1913 he entered St. Petersburg University .

In December 1914 he was drafted into the army. In May 1915 he graduated from the Pavlovsk Military School and went to the reserve battalion in Irkutsk . In July of the same year he was sent to the army. Member of the First World War . He fought as part of the 38th Siberian Rifle Regiment, which in 1917-1918 fought on the Romanian front. In the battles he was wounded. In 1917 he was elected to the divisional committee. The last rank in the tsarist army is a lieutenant.

After demobilization in March 1918 he arrived in Rybinsk. In July 1918 he moved to Saratov , where he entered the university. At the same time, he began to work in the provincial department of public education.

In the Red Army for party mobilization since January 1919. Member of the Civil War . Since January 1919 - commander of the communist detachment of the Saratov Provincial Committee (in battles near Uralsk ). In April 1919 he returned to Saratov. Since May 1919 - on the Northern Front. Occupied posts: at the disposal of the commander of the 6th army, assistant commander of the 161st infantry regiment, commander of the same regiment. From November 1920 to December 1921, he was the commander of the 14th Gatchina Rifle Regiment of the 2nd Rifle Division. Member of the hostilities against the troops of Latvia and Poland.

After the Civil War - in senior positions in the troops and the Headquarters of the Red Army. In 1921-1922 he was at the disposal of the commander of the training brigade, the head of the division school, and the widow of the commander of the training brigade. Since June 1922, he was the widow of the battalion commander of a rifle regiment.

In 1922-1925 - student of the Main Department of the Military Academy of the Red Army.

In 1925-1927 - student of the Oriental Department of the Military Academy of the Red Army named after M.V. Frunze .

In military intelligence

Since July 1927, it was at the disposal of the Fourth Directorate of the Headquarters of the Red Army. Since September 1927 - assistant chief of the Scientific and Statutory Department of the Headquarters of the Red Army. In December of the same year he was appointed head of the sector of the 3rd department of the 4th Directorate of the Headquarters of the Red Army. Since March 1930 - assistant military attache at the plenipotentiary of the USSR in Japan. Since August 1933 - at the disposal of the IV Directorate of the Headquarters of the Red Army. Since March 1934 - Deputy Head of the 3rd Division of the same Directorate. Since January 1935 - Deputy Head of the 2nd Division of the Intelligence Directorate of the Red Army. Since September 1936 - Senior Head of Regional Studies at the Military Academy of the Red Army named after M.V. Frunze.

Repression and rehabilitation

Arrested on August 13, 1937 by the Military Collegium of the Supreme Court of the USSR on March 15, 1938 and was sentenced to death on charges of espionage and participation in a military conspiracy. The sentence was executed on the same day.

The definition of the Military College of November 23, 1955 rehabilitated.
