Demographics
As of 2007, according to estimates by the Venezuelan National Statistical Institute, the population of the municipality of Santa Ana is 10,919. This is 0.7% of the state’s population. [1] The population density of the municipality was 9.22 inhabitants per square kilometer. [2] By 2011, the population was reduced to 9,636 people. [3]
Government
As of 2008, Gerson Martinez was elected mayor of the municipality, who received 49% of the vote on November 23, 2008. [four]
