The first book of poems was published in 2004 [9] . Some works were translated into Chuvash [10] and Swedish [11] .

Critical Perception

Criticism noted Vorobiev’s creative development of the poetic discoveries of his fellow countryman Gennady Aigi . So, Dmitry Kuzmin in the preface to the verses from the cycle "Return" pointed out:

In the poetic instrumentation, Aigi Vorobyov singles out the individual (optional) in order to refuse it (verbal deformations and accretions, author punctuation), and the essential, canonical, to be reproduced: weakened syntactic connections, the predominance of the nomination over predication (and if the verb, then, by opportunities, not in a personal form), lexical austerity, windows-spaces-gaps. (...) Vorobyov’s subject-specific repertoire is as limited as a dictionary - and this can also be seen as ideologically motivated (the idea of creativity as humility was not alien to Aigi - and Vorobyov was ready to completely peel off the ironic connotations from the old metaphor “style-making ”), - it’s all the more curious that for all that he manages not only to speak, but also to say [12] .

The theme “Aigi and Vorobyov” was also considered by Kirill Korchagin in a review of the book “Winter Medicine”, emphasizing the philosophical difference between the two authors, Vorobyov’s focus on the extrasensory content of the metaphysically loaded landscape [13] . Alexander Zhitenev in the afterword to the same book “Winter Medicine” also considers Vorobyov’s “poetics of the 'sparse' word” and “addressing the elusive” as “an obvious reference to the“ neo-avant-garde ”practices” [14] .

The poet Sergei Sumin in a review of the book "Winter Medicine" writes:

Poems by Dmitry Vorobyov grow out of dumbness, pre-verbal matter, from which not only verses, but in general everything in the world, come from. This chaos, dark matter, quiet, as it turns out, has great potential for producing texts from them. Poems grow slowly, words are reluctantly born, as if someone is slow and slow before birth. Metaphors? No, there are just a few of them, everything exactly points to objects, to the elements, to the world. Everything is very mean, ugly, black and white. And the texts themselves are like small animals [15] .
