Owners and management

Valeo's largest shareholder is the Pardus Capital Private Equity Fund (13% of the company). Capitalization as of mid-July 2008 is 1.79 billion euros [1] .

Activities

The company produces clutch systems, lighting, engine cooling, electronic engine control, brake and climate systems and other automotive components, as well as equipment for service stations. Valeo owns 143 plants in 20 countries. Valeo's clients include many automotive companies in the world, including BMW , Ford , General Motors .

Valeo's revenue for 2007 was 9.56 billion euros ( 2006 : 10.1 billion euros), net profit 88 million euros (161 million euros) [1] .

Valeo in Russia

In November 2011, the company opened a plant in the industrial park in the Kstovsky district of the Nizhny Novgorod region . The products of the new enterprise (automotive lighting systems, locks and wipers) are expected to be supplied to Russian enterprises PSA Peugeot-Citroen , Renault and AvtoVAZ . Investments in the construction of the enterprise amounted to 8 million euros [2] [3] .

In July 2015, Valeo stopped producing automotive lighting systems at a site in the Kstovsky district of the Nizhny Novgorod region.
