Biography

He was born on March 28, 1914 in the village of Novomikhaylovka of the Vradiyevsky district of the Nikolaev region in a peasant family. Ukrainian . He graduated from grade 3 primary school.

Work in the Donbass

In 1931, on a Komsomol ticket, he went to the Donbass . He worked as a logger (delivery man), and later as a slaughterer in the team of Nikita Izotov at the Kochegarka mine in the city of Gorlovka, Donetsk region [1] .

Service in the Red Army

In 1938, he was drafted into the Red Army . Member of the Polish campaign of the USSR and the Bukovinian campaigns of the Red Army , the Soviet-Finnish war of 1940-1941 .

World War II

Member of World War II from June 22, 1941. With heavy fighting, he retreated from the western border to the North Caucasus . He took part in the Kerch landing operation . Then he liberated from the Nazis Krasnodar , Kerch , Sevastopol , fought in the Carpathians .

May 2, 1945 in the village of New Biala (near the city of Olomouc , Czech Republic ) with a group of scouts captured an enemy soldier and destroyed five more. On May 8, on the outskirts of Olomouc, he attacked enemy positions, capturing 7 vehicles, a cannon with a servant, and many prisoners. Post-war years

In 1945, demobilized. He returned to Horlivka. In 1949, for health reasons, he moved to the city of Pervomaisk, Mykolaiv region . He worked as a crane operator on the railway. Awarded the title of "The best crane operator of the USSR railways."

Participant in the Victory Parade of 1945 and the 1985 anniversary parade in Moscow .

He died on July 8, 1991 in Kherson .
