Mikhail Ivanovich Strutovsky ( August 30, 1910 - May 6, 1983 ) - a full holder of the Order of Glory , during the Great Patriotic War, a sapper of the 558th separate combat engineer battalion of the 309th rifle division of the 1st Guards Army of the 1st Ukrainian Front .

Biography
He was born on August 30, 1910 in the village of Maly Moshkovtsy (now Andrushevsky district of Zhytomyr region of Ukraine ) in the family of a poor peasant . He graduated from the 4th grade of a local school in 1924 and worked for five years in the household of his parents . In 1929 he became a worker at the Chervonensky distillery, and two years later he left for the mines of Donbass . From there, in 1933 he was drafted into the Red Army . He served in the Far East , and after discharge to the reserve until 1941 , he worked in his native collective farm. Kosior (later “October”) at various works. On May 10, 1941 , Mikhail was called up for army retraining, where he was caught by the war .
From the first days of the war he served in the 400th separate combat engineer battalion as a combat engineer. In the battles near Korosten he was wounded and from July to October 1941 was in the evacuation hospital. After his recovery, he was sent to the 137th Infantry Regiment, where he fought until November of that year. Second wound and again hospital in January 1942 . Then 213 rifle regiment, where M. Strutovsky commanded the squad . In September 1942, he was wounded for the third time in battles near Tula . Two months later - again the front, 309 rifle regiment, Strutovsky - foreman of the company.
In March 1944 , Strutovsky, along with fighters near the village of Dzielentsy and Mochulintsy ( Volochissky district of the Khmelnytsky region ), established three groups of anti-tank mines on which several enemy military vehicles were blown up. Under fire blew up a bridge , blocking the path of enemy tanks . May 7, 1944 awarded the Order of Glory 3rd degree .
On January 6-14, 1945 , Senior Sergeant Strutowski with his subordinates near the town of Opatow (northwest of the city of Sandomierz , Poland ) made eight passes in minefields and wire corrals of the enemy. January 15, 1945 , having made passages in the corrals of the enemy, led rifle units through them, one of the first to burst into the enemy trench . On February 27, 1945 he was awarded the Order of Glory of the 2nd degree .
On February 5, 1945 , 8 km east of the city of Lignitz (now Legnica , Poland), Strutowski with the detachment made three passes in the minefields of the enemy, the first to reach his trench, in the battle he defeated more than 10 foot soldiers. February 11, 1945 installed 45 anti-tank mines, which blew up two armored personnel carriers . On February 22, 1945 , in the battle for the city of Breslau (now Wroclaw , Poland), he cleared two barricades and neutralized 10 minutes . April 10, 1945 awarded the Order of Glory of the 1st degree .
Demobilized according to the Decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR on October 1, 1945. After demobilization, he worked on the “Oktyabr” collective farm as the foreman of the field breeding brigade, was in charge of the livestock farm, and was the foreman of the construction brigade until his retirement in 1970 .
He died on May 6, 1983 .

Memory
In the city of Andrushevka, on the Walk of Fame, a bust of Mikhail Strutovsky is installed.
In honor of the 65th anniversary of the liberation of Ukraine, the community of the village of Maly Moshkovtsy immortalized the name of its fellow countryman, naming one of the streets of the village after Strutovsky [1] .
