Alexander G. Kamensky ( 1845 - 1905 ) is a Russian merchant, philanthropist and public figure who provided substantial support for the development of educational institutions in the city of Perm . He was a trustee of the Perm Mariinsky Gymnasium ( 1888 - 1896 ), the Shelter of the Children of the Poor and the Perm City Public Almshouse (until 1902 ), the Assumption Convent ( 1896 - 1905 ). He took an active part in the activities of charitable public organizations: he was an honorary member of the Provincial Guardianship of Children's Shelters, a member of the Perm District Board of the Water Rescue Society and the Diocesan Committee of the Orthodox Missionary Society. In 1896 he was elected director of the Perm Prison Committee. [one]

On June 20, 1897, Kamensky established a scholarship for the Alekseevsky Real School in Perm in the form of a state 4-percent annuity of 1200 rubles. He assigned this scholarship the name of his father, Grigory Kozmich Kamensky , an entrepreneur and philanthropist, one of the founders of the F. and G. Kamensky. " After the death of Alexander Grigorievich, his brother, Ivan G. Kamensky , became the trustee of the school. The name of the Kamensky brothers is Gymnasium No. 4 in Perm. [2]
He died in Perm in 1905. He was buried in the cemetery of the Assumption Convent in the church-tomb of Kamensky (currently does not exist). [3]
