Martyshev ( Ukrainian Martishiv ) - a lake located in the Darnitsky district of the Kiev City Council ; 5th largest lake in the Kiev City Council (3rd - Darnytskyi district). Area - 0.9 km² (90.4 ha), according to other sources 26.6 ha [1] . The type of general mineralization is fresh . Origin - man - made . The hydrological regime group is closed .

Geography

The length is about 2 km. The greatest width is 0.37 km. The lake is used for recreation and fishing. It is on the balance sheet of the utility Pleso.

It is located on the left bank of the Dnieper south of the Osokorki residential area ː directly south of 55th Sadovaya Street. One of the so-called Osokorkovsky lakes . Lower Gardens (sections of garden associations) and Podbornaya and Piskun lakes adjoin to the west, Lake Nebrezh to the east and Lake Sanctuary to the south.

The lake basin of irregular shape, stretched from north to south. The lake was formed on the site of a quarry (quarry No. 2) after land reclamation for the construction of residential areas Osokorki and Poznyaki. On the west bank are the Lower Gardens. The lake is connected by channels to the Tyagloye and Negrezh lakes in the east, as well as the Sanctuary in the south. In the public cadastral map on the site of Lake Nebrezh, adjacent to Lake Martyshev, plots are indicated for the construction of residential districts 1 and 2 of the Osokorki-Tsentralny residential area, with an area of ​​90.6 hectares. According to the existing General Plan of Kiev until 2025, Tyaglye and Nebrezh lakes will be built up [2] . The public advocates the creation of a landscape park in this territory [3]
