VZPP-Micron

In 2000, based on the property complex of the enterprise, CJSC VZPP-Mikron was established, which since 2001 has established the supply of Schottky diodes abroad .

In 2004, together with NPO Avtomatika, chip crystals were obtained for use in the digital control system of the new Soyuz-2 launch vehicle. ^[2]

In 2004, the company entered into an agreement with IXYS. According to the contract, VZPP-Micron manufactures crystals for electronic power management components under the brand name IXYS. VZPP-Mikron launched a new production line for plates with a diameter of 150 mm, which is focused both on the production of our own products and on the performance of custom work. ^[3]

Since 2003, the company has been developing its own versions of TVS-diodes and TVS-chips; in the same year, direct deliveries of products for export began, bypassing NIIME and Mikron. ^[four]

Since 2009, the enterprise together with the St. Petersburg Institute of Physics and Technology named after A.F. Ioffe of the Russian Academy of Sciences has been researching and developing promising power integrated thyristors and modules based on them. ^[5] As a result of a set of research and development, an integrated thyristor with external field control, a new device for power microelectronics, was created and patented. A series of high voltage ultrafast diodes (UBDs) with a “soft” reverse recovery characteristic has also been developed. ^[6]
