Martin Kabatnik ( Czech: Martin Kabátník 1428 - February 2, 1503 , Litomyšl ) is a Czech traveler and writer of the 15th century .

The Czech Brothers was sent to the East by the Hussite fraternal community to find out which of the churches has preserved its original Christian character in its purest form. To do this, Kabatnik went to Asia Minor , Jerusalem and Egypt . His path ran through Moravia, Silesia, Krakow, Lviv, Istanbul and Damascus. Returning to his homeland, he wrote: “Cestopis do Krajin vychodnich” and died in 1503 . Kabatnik's "Journey" was published for the first time in 1518 and was later reprinted many times.
