Biography
Flora Parker Dehaven, who, along with her husband, Carter Dehaven , was one of the leading Paramount-Artcraft Picture actresses, was born in Perth Amboy, New Jersey, and showed an early desire to perform on stage. Started performing on stage in New Orleans. She played leading roles in vaudeville, staged by Nathan Goodwin , and then played in vaudeville with her husband. She played the queen in The Queen of Moulin Rouge. Flora Parker Dehaven was a very good dancer. Her film debut took place at Universal Studios , from where she transferred to the Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer, where she starred in many short comedies with her husband, and then Paramount-Artcraft Picture, where she also was involved in the lead roles. In the credits for the films, she was often designated as Mrs. Carter Dehaven.
