Wyman, Naum Isaakovich

Naum Isaakovich Waiman (born March 5, 1947 , Moscow ) is a Russian writer, poet and translator.

He graduated from MEIS with a degree in radio engineering. In the mid-1970s, he visited the literary studio Luch at Moscow University , led by Igor Volgin . In 1978 he repatriated to Israel .

Author of three collections of poems: “From Autumn to Autumn” ( 1979 , Israel), “Poems” ( 1989 , Israel), “Levant” ( 1994 , Moscow), the novel “Canaan Chronicles” ( 2000 , INAPRESS , St. Petersburg), documentary the novel “A Pit Full of Bird Feathers” (2008, UFO, Moscow); the novel “The Slit of the Promise” (2011, UFO, Moscow). Translated into Russian Russian novel by Israeli writer Yaakov Shabtai “Epilogue” ( 2003 , Bridges of Culture). Author of three books about Mandelstam: “Tents of fear” (co-authored with Matvey Ruvin, Agraf, M. 2011), “The Black Sun of Mandelstam” (Agraf, M. 2013), “Love Lyrics I Never Knew” (Agraf, M. 2015). In 2017, it was published. Agra the final collection of poems "Scattered Speech". He is the author of numerous articles in Russian (“Literary Issues”, “Text and Tradition”, “UFO”, “Arion”, “Critical Mass”, “Russian Journal”, “Colt”, “Own Correspondent”, “Snob”) and Israeli Russian-language publications (Mirror, Solar Plexus, 22, News, Weekly News), paper and network, on a variety of topics: politics, history, literary criticism, reviews and film reviews.
