Ivan Fedorovich Petrov (1888-1921) - Food Commissar, Chairman of the Rostov-on-Don District Work Bureau, was awarded the Order of the Red Banner of War (PBC order No. 46 for 1921).

Biography
A native of the village of Ussuna of the Transfiguration Volost of the Olonets province . He worked as a blacksmith and a locksmith. He participated in the First World War. Since March 1917 - member of the CPSU (b).
In 1918 he organized a party cell in the village of Ussuna.
Since February 1918 - Member of the Executive Committee of the Olonets Provincial Council and the Olonets Provincial Food College.
Since July 16, 1918 - Olonets Provincial Food Commissioner.
Since 1919, he served in the organs of the Military Food Bureau of the All-Union Central Council of Trade Unions in Ukraine.
From October 13, 1919 he worked in food authorities in the Saratov province.
Since October 1920 - in Rostov-on-Don, at the disposal of the representative of the Council of Labor and Defense Ilyinsky - chairman of the provincial working food committee.
On December 28, 1920, he was mortally wounded in the village of Stepanovsky, Don region [1] .
Family
Wife Martha Fyodorovna was shot by whites in the village of Ussuna.
Memory
- In 1923, the Transfiguration of the Savior Volost of Petrozavodsk Uyezd was renamed Petrovsky, in 1927-1957 the Petrovsky District of Karelia existed. On August 17, 1962, by the Decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Council of the KASSR, the Munozersky Village Council of the Kondopoga District was renamed the Petrovsky Village Council. Now - Petrovsky rural settlement .
- In 1960, a memorial sign to Ivan Petrov was installed in the city of Petrozavodsk . In 2016, the square in which the memorial sign is located was named after Ivan Petrov.
- The Petrovsky folk choir of the village of Spasskaya Guba is named after Petrov.
- The highway is named after Petrov in the village of Shuiskaya Station (Petrovskoye Highway).
