Friedrich von Jolly ( German: Friedrich von Jolly ; November 24, 1844 , Heidelberg - January 4, 1904 , Berlin ) is a German doctor . Son of Johann Philip Gustav von Jolly , brother of Ludwig and Julius von Jolly.

Biography
Friedrich von Jolly was born on November 24, 1844 in the city of Heidelberg. He studied in Munich and Göttingen , from 1868 he worked in a shelter for the lunatics Wernek.
In 1871 , he was a private assistant professor in Würzburg , and from 1873 , he was a professor of psychiatry and director of the Psychiatric Clinic in Strasbourg .
In 1890 he was appointed successor to Karl Westphal at the Department of Psychiatry at the University of Berlin and as director of the Psychiatric and Nervous Clinic.
Friedrich von Jolly died on January 4, 1904 in the city of Berlin.

Major works: “Bericht über die Irrenabteilung des Julius-Spitals” ( 1873 ); Hysterie und Hypochondrie (in Ziemsen's Handbuch der Pathologie, 1877 ); Untersuchungen über den elektrischen Leitungswiderstand des menschlichen Körpers ( 1884 ); "Vorgeschichte und gegenwärtige Einrichrtung der psychiatrischen Klinik in Strassburg" ( 1887 ). From 1890, Jolly edited Archiv für Psychiatrie und Nervenkrankheiten.
