The clan of the Yuzefovichs, apparently, comes from the sons of the Jew Jesof, who lived in the city of Brest: Abraham Yezofovich, who was the great subcarpony of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania under Sigismund I (appointed in 1514 ) and Michel Jesofovich, the former foreman (chief rabbi) of all Jews Principality of Lithuania (appointed as Chief Rabbi also in 1514).
The coat of arms of Leliv was granted to Michel, and the coats of arms of Radwan , Abdank , and Yastrzhembek were given to Abraham.
The Yuzefovich clan is included in the first part of the genealogy book of the Coven and Minsk provinces .
Based on the history of the Yuzefovich family, the most famous work of Eliza Orzeszko Meir Esofovich was written [1] .
There is also the genus Glebitsky-Yuzefovichi ( Polish: Hlebicki-Józefowicz ) of the coat of arms of Abdank , dating back to the middle of the XVII century and included in the VI part of the genealogy of the Coven province .

The Little Russian noble clan of the Yuzefovich family coat of arms Dombrowski is the offspring of Joseph Gavrilovich, a significant comrade of the Chernigov regiment (1726).
Notes
- ↑ “... Under the influence of this invasion, the Karaite community began to gradually melt. The last blow was dealt to her by a man known in the history of Polish Jews under the name of Mikhail Ezofovich Senior. This was the first Esofovich, whose name came out of the darkness of obscurity. His family, settled in Poland indefinitely, was one of those who, under the laws and customs, formed under the influence of a very high level of education in Poland at that time, made friendly ties with the local population. The king, or senior over all Jews of Lithuania and Belarus, was named by his king Sigismund ”// Meir Esofovich Eliza Orzeszko
