T'maka is a river in the Tver region of Russia , the right tributary of the Volga flowing into it in the center of Tver . It flows through the territory of the Staritsky and Kalininsky districts of the Tver region, the Proletarian and Central regions of Tver.

Length - 73 km, catchment area - 582 km² [2] .
The source is a swamp near the village of Baklanovo, Staritsky district. It flows along a swampy lowland along the western slopes of the Tver moraine ridge . The mouth is located in Tver (and Tver itself was based on the arrow of Tmaki and Volga).
It opens in early April, ice formation in the second half of November (in Tver, it often does not freeze due to the discharge of warm water from industrial enterprises). The main sources of food for the Tymak River are melt snow water (from the melting snow the Volga River receives more than 50% of the water transferred to it), rain water (15–20% of the total annual water flow) and groundwater (their component in the total mass of the river’s recharge is 30 -35%). [3] In the middle reaches of the T'maki, the T'matsky beaver reserve was created . There are even cases of the construction of beaver dams at the mouth of the T'maki, in the center of Tver [4] .
Since the 1970s, the T'matskiy Rakut competition has been held annually in T'mak .
