The newspaper was founded under the name Hakikat ( tur . Truth ) [2] . In 1972 it was renamed Türkiye. It is owned by İhlas Yayın Holding, a structural unit of İhlas Holding . In 1989, the circulation of the newspaper was 300,000 [3] .
