Kalinichenko Ivan Lukich (1890, Krivoy Rog - 2.06.1918, Krivoy Rog ) - an active participant in the revolutionary movement and labor struggle, armed uprising for the power of the Soviets, the organizer of the first detachments of the Red Guard in Kryvyi Rih.

Biography
Ivan Kalinichenko was born in 1890 in Krivoy Rog. He worked as a teenager at small enterprises, later - at the Nikolaev Naval plant and the Taganrog metallurgical plant . In 1914, Ivan Lukich was drafted into the tsarist army, participated in the First World War, including the Brusilovsky breakthrough . In the spring of 1917 he returned to Krivoy Rog. He works at the Gdantsev Iron Foundry . After the February Revolution of 1917, he joined the ranks of the RSDLP (b) and was elected a member of the soldiers' committee. In April 1917, the factory workers elected him a deputy of the Kryvyi Rih Council of Workers, Peasants and Soldiers' Deputies . In the summer of 1917 he was elected a member of the city party committee. He was a member of the All-Ukrainian Conference of Village Deputies in Kharkov.
During the Austro-German occupation of Ukraine in 1918, he was in underground work. In April 1918, an illegal party organization was formed, the committee of which included V.P. Cherednichenko , I.L. Kalinichenko, Yu. I. Umnikova , S.M. Kharitonov, and P.S. Tsyn. The committee launched agitation, calling for a fight against the invaders. In late May, the underground were seized. Shot by the Austro-German invaders on June 2, 1918 on the outskirts of the city, together with all members of the committee. He was buried in Krivoy Rog in a mass grave along with his executed comrades-in-arms [1] [2] .
Memory
Until 2016, a street in the Central City District of Krivoy Rog was named after Ivan Kalinichenko [3] .
