Agata Eva Vrubel ( Polish: Agata Ewa Wróbel [1] ; born August 28, 1981 , Zywiec , Bielskie Voivodeship ) is a Polish weightlifter in the + 75 kg weight category, world champion, three-time European champion and eight-time Poland weightlifting champion .

Biography
She started weightlifting in 1996 . Participated in international championships since 1997 .
At the 2000 Summer Olympics in Sydney, she won silver. In 2002, she won gold at the World Weightlifting Championships in Warsaw . At the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens, she managed to take third place.
In 2003-2004 starred in the documentary series Mission to Athens , which tells about the path of eight different athletes from eight different European countries to the Athens Summer Olympics 2004 .
In 2010, announced the completion of a sports career.
Rewards
In addition to numerous sports awards, the weightlifter also has state awards in Poland: the cavalier cross of the Order of the Renaissance of Poland (2004) [2] and the gold “Cross of Merit” (2000) [3] .
